About Us
On January 1, 2013, I was blessed to be able to travel with a group to Senegal, West Africa. While there, we came across a street vendor who was selling raw, unrefined, natural shea butter. Many of the ladies in our group were purchasing it by the pound. Having suffered from eczema and dry, sensitive skin all of my life, I had some knowledge of the healing and moisturizing benefits of raw Shea Butter, so I too purchased several pounds.
I soon discovered that Shea Butter in this raw form, did not have the most pleasant smell, and was a little stiff and gummy to use. Being the girly girl that I am, that didn't work for me. I placed it in the refrigerator where it sat for the next six months.
Determined to find some use for my purchase, I eventually pulled it out and began experimenting with various ways to mix and blend the shea butter without altering its natural properties. Upon finding a suitable blend and several fragrances for myself, I realized I had quite a bit of product and started spooning it into small mason jars and began passing it out as Christmas gifts. I was surprised, but grateful for the demand my gift would create, and thus Kiss My Butter was born. We love making it, we love wearing it and are delighted to be able to share it with you.
Our mission is to "Change the Way you Shea!" We are committed to producing all natural products which promote health and beauty, and present them in ways yet unseen. We also strive to be a blessing in our community, both locally and globally.
We are a small, family run operation. All of our products are made by hand, with natural ingredients, love and of course…Kisses!
