Kiss My Butter™

Kiss My Butter™ is a new line of All Natural, Handcrafted Shea Butter Body Care products.  This has truly been a labor of love!  The journey began in January 2013, when I traveled with a group to Senegal, West Africa for a 3 week tour.  On one of our many shopping trips, I purchased approximately ten pounds of raw, unrefined Shea Butter from a local street vendor.  I had long known the moisturizing and healing properties of Shea Butter, and was thrilled to have the opportunity to be purchasing it directly from the source of its origin.  What I was not so thrilled about, was the rough and gummy texture, it was not at all easy to rub into my skin.  Furthermore, it smelled awful!

It took me the better part of 2013, experimenting with, and blending the Shea Butter in various ways to make it palatable to my senses of touch and smell.  At that point, I had made far more of my new concoction than I could ever use in any reasonable amount of time.  So, what did I do?  I shared the love!  I spooned it into quilted jelly jars, stuck a handwritten label on it, and that year for Christmas, all my family and friends, and any kind soul I encountered, received the gift of a kiss - Kiss My Butter that is.

I was totally unprepared for what happened next.  People I had given the product to, were receiving compliments and inquiries about what they were wearing.  They began to come back and ask if they could purchase it as they were sharing theirs with others.  I unwittingly hunched my shoulders and said, "sure, why not!"  Thus Kiss My Butter was born.  

I've been making and sharing it locally since, 2013, and in just a few more days, I'll be ready to share it with you and the world!  Tempt someone to kiss your butter!
